This blue and gold chariot is an elaborately decorated bench seat sponsored by Shirley Brennan. It is a memorial to her son, Gregory Mark Brennan, who died in 2010. It can accommodate those who wish to sit as they experience the carousel ride rather than climbing aboard an animal. Several precious cats are climbing around this chariot. A tabby cat at the front of the chariot is sitting on a ribbon marked Greg. A tuxedo cat behind the seat is sitting on a ribbon marked Shirley. The orange tabby lounging over the top of the chariot and the black and white tuxedo behind the seat are based on cats owned by the sponsor and her son. A calico kitten plays with the gray tabby’s tail and a Siamese is curled up asleep at the back of the chariot. Hibiscus flowers set on a blue background act as additional adornment on the chariot. The arch of the chariot has sheet music from the song, “Sway.”
