Bob & Gail Mikkelson

Daisy is a baby African elephant who sings as she walks around the outside row of the carousel. Her sponsorship was a gift to Gail from her husband Bob. Bob collected elephants and thought Gail would appreciate his choice! Daisy's name came from the favorite flowers used in Bob and Gail's wedding. The Mikkelson's want Daisy to depict their love and joy and bring these things and many smiles to those who see her.

The little mouse perched on Daisy's trunk is called 'Mikey'. Mikey sports a dapper blue bow tie and sings enthusiastically from a red music book. You have to smile when you see these two having fun singing together and bringing happiness to the carousel.

The singing animals and musical symbols on Daisy's blanket reflect the importance of music in the Mikkelson's lives and the great joy they have experienced through music. Daisy's blanket and matching headpiece are quilted with gold rope. There are daisies in each quilted square of the blanket with first names in the Mikkelson family written around each flower.
