Saami is a tan and brown Lapland reindeer paying homage to the Bryant’s Scandinavian heritages. Nancy’s mother was Finnish (Salovaara) and Dick’s mother was Danish (Splidsboel). Saami is a middle-row jumper animal.
Saami proudly displays a very large rack of forward-curved antlers. His saddle is designed after Lapland regional textiles in traditional colors of red, blue, and yellow. Red and white Danish woven hearts connect the saddle with the girth. A Danish gnome, Nisse, sits behind the saddle wearing a red hat and smoking a pipe that is patterned after a family heirloom.
