Chipper is a free-standing floor statue. He is the News Beaver for the carousel’s newsletter. He represents symbols of the State of Oregon and was donated in the name of Southern Willamette Dentists.
Chipper will welcome visitors to the carousel building. He is a reddish-brown beaver standing on a gnawed tree stump. He sports a buck-toothed smile and has a Meadowlark, Oregon’s state bird, perched upon his left paw. The tree stump is adorned with Oregon Grape, the state flower, and the Oregon State Seal.
The dental profession is represented by a tooth fairy seated on mushrooms. She wears a blue dress and has pretty blue wings. In her hand, she has a wand with a tooth on the end. A toothbrush and a partially squeezed tube of toothpaste is hidden on the far side of the stump to keep Chipper’s chompers healthy.
