Caballo Regaldo, the Gift Horse (A Christmas Clydesdale)
Sponsored byDian Gerstner and the Greenwell Family Foundation
Caballo Regalado is a Christmas gift to the Carousel. The Greenwell's had a long history of ranching in the Ogden, Utah area. Dian’s great grandfather, both of her grandfathers, and father were well known for their horsemanship. Dian and her daughter, Nicole Thompson, continued the tradition as well-known and successful equestrians in the Dressage Society of Oregon.
This beautiful Christmas Clydesdale is an outside row stander and will make an appearance on the carousel during the Christmas and winter season. There will be no mistaking this gentle giant with his black mane, flowing tail, and his white socks and feathers. He wears a black and brass harness with a small green pad as if he is ready to pull a Christmas Sleigh.
For the holiday season, he sports a large red and gold bow on his tail and small sprigs of holly on his harness and bridle. Brass bells are attached to his collar and the Greenwell logo (a wishing well) is on the medallion on his chest. Caballo Regalado represents warm memories and the spirit of Christmas. He is a special gift to all his riders during the holiday season.
