Zeus is a Grevey’s zebra, found in Western Africa. He was adopted by Char Walters, whose favorite saying is, “if you hear hoof beats, think horses not zebras.” Unlike many other animals on the Carousel, Zeus was completely finished before Char decided to sponsor him. A De Brazzas monkey called Zorba hangs from a vine that Zeus holds in his mouth – Zorba means “fun-loving”, and he lives up to his name!
