Quaggas are a species of zebra that became extinct in the 1880s. Its name supposedly resembles the sound it makes as a calls out. Not only is Quigga an extinct animal, he is possibly the only Quagga Carousel animal in the world! Notice the veterinary caduceus at the top of his neck, placed there in honor of Dick Reid, a veterinarian.
