Igknighter was named by his adopters, Elaine L. Murphy and Jack L. Smith, who wanted a “dragon-y” sounding name. They wanted to sponsor a land dragon because they were both born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon. Jack made some preliminary sketches which artist Terryl Whitlatch used to create the final design. Their Zodiac symbols are carved into Igknighter’s tail.
